General Description:
The Payroll Manager reports to the Associate Controller and is responsible for the management of Payroll Services for IIT. This position directs the production, scheduling, control, and related report production and approvals for all university payrolls. The Manager is responsible for maintaining related records requiring specialized calculations, reconciliations, and correcting and adjusting entries, and ensuring adequate internal controls. The Manager is responsible for writing and maintaining the documentation for critical processing procedures.

Education & Experience:
B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required.
At least 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in payroll services and/or operations. Must include experience with payments made to non-resident aliens.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of Banner information system. Extensive knowledge of a public and/or university financial and payroll environment.
