Role Details

Location: San Francisco, CA. This role is based 2 days per week out of our San Francisco, HQ and is not eligible for full-time remote work.

Compensation: The annual salary range for this role is $124,000-166,000 in addition to equity & benefits.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target depending on the location of each candidate. In addition to location, other factors including level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience will determine compensation.

The Team & Role

Our Recruiting Team is responsible for helping grow the Gem family. We care deeply about building a high performing, diverse, and collaborative team where people can do their best work and have a blast while doing it. Being at the center of a company that builds modern recruiting software, the People Team is empowered to bring a high level of strategic thinking and innovate practices into how we grow Gem.

As Gem’s Technical Recruiter reporting to our Head of People, you’ll run full-cycle searches and strategically partner with our CTO, Head of Product, and other technical leadership to engage with top talent for our Engineering, Product, and Design teams.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

  • Own full-lifecycle recruiting for our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to scope and design interview processes.
  • Drive sourcing, including creative and traditional strategies.
  • Own communication between the interview teams and drive velocity of hiring.
  • Coach interviewers and managers on interviewing and closing best practices.
  • Report on pipeline health in a data-driven manner using Gem.
  • Be a thought partner with leadership on how to build a world-class EPD team.

About You

  • 3-5 years of in-house technical recruiting experience.
  • Proven experience sourcing, engaging, and closing high-quality technical talent.
  • Experience designing thoughtful and efficient candidate experiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, early-stage startups preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
