Who We Are Looking For

State Street considers all disciplines when seeking candidates. Primarily, we are looking for a user/client-facing role as a Business Systems Analyst who desires to work within a collaborative, team-driven environment on business demand analysis and solution design with the IT development team from brainstorming, prototyping, development, testing, and production.

This role requires solid financial knowledge, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and good time management. This role is based in Boston, MA, USA and will work with State Street clients and business users from all regions.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  1. Work with external clients and internal business users to gather and understand user demands;
  2. Analyze and explore business workflow and possible business scenarios; review and evaluate existing business models and future processes or solutions;
  3. Accomplish BA relevant artifacts (e.g., functional specifications, user stories, wireframe models/data mapping, user guides) to accurately capture user and system requirements;
  4. Identify, solve, or escalate potential issues and risks during development life cycles;
  5. Collaborate with other roles/teams to deliver consistent and timely results with high quality;
  6. Establish and maintain strong network relationships with internal/external counterparties;
  7. Organize and drive meetings. Participate in the agile development team as the Product Owner/Business Analyst role.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  1. 5-8 years’ experience in an analyst role, driving software development projects/agile rooms, financial or data research industry
  2. Major in Financial or IT related, or both
  3. Fluent verbal & written English communication and strong interpersonal skills
  4. Good understanding of software development
  5. Profound knowledge of financial products
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Team player; detail-oriented and self-motivated to drive work to proceed with minimal supervision
  8. Multiple tasking ability; good time organizational skills to manage project priorities
  9. Enthusiasm in work with good self-learning ability
  10. Good tech skills; database tools/SQL

Additional Requirements (Good To Have)

  1. Participation in agile development working model.
  2. CFA certified
  3. Experience in working on platforms such as Murex/Global One/Summit/Calypso and similar products

Salary Range

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
