POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Sr. Auditor is responsible for evaluating operating guidelines and processes related to the bank's traditional banking services and Republic Processing Group ("RPG") services. This position will ensure that such controls are adequate, functional and in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and corporate policies. This position is responsible for planning and conducting reviews of organizational and functional activities along with evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls over those activities in accordance with the accepted professional standards. In addition, this position will report audit findings and make recommendations for correction of unsatisfactory conditions as well as improvements in operations and internal controls.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 5+ years audit, accounting or bank operations experience required.
* Certification (CIA or CISA or CPA) required or ability to obtain within 1-3 years.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Survey functions and activities throughout the Bank and RPG to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of the system of internal controls to achieve established objectives. Identify the key control points of the operation.
* Determine the direction and thrust of the proposed audit effort. Determine the audit procedures to be used.
* Plan the theory and scope of the audit and prepare an audit program.
* Perform the audit in a professional manner and in accordance with the approved audit program.
* Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidentiary data as a basis for an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and efficiency of performance of the activities being reviewed.
* Make oral or written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies, recommending corrective action, and suggesting improvements in operations and internal controls.
* Prepare formal written reports expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out.
* Appraise the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions.
* Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
* Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
* Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required.
* Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
