Bloem, a leading manufacturer of decorative planters and accessories in the US, has an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Specialist. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Supply Chain Team. The Sourcing Specialist will support the purchasing and procurement functions by assisting in the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, components, and other goods necessary for the production process. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a keen eye for market trends.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, components, and finished goods requires for production. Place purchase orders and track delivery dates to ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Maintain ERP vendor contracts with current pricing and lead times. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and inventory transactions. Prepare reports and presentations for the procurement department and update supply chain metrics weekly.
  • Work closely with the production, quality assurance and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations. Work closely with the Demand Planner to ensure all BOMs are up to date, and materials are on order in advance. Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate invoicing payment with processing and closing of purchase orders. Collaborate with sales and marketing on new product development projects by gathering data such as dimensions and weights.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, excellent attention to detail and enjoy working with large-scale data.
  • Must have a combination of practical and intellectual skills, as well as the ability to rapidly shift and adapt to different tasks that vary between complex analyses, hands-on projects and project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with Infor Syteline/WMS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
