Position: Director of Commercial Credit Risk

Role Overview:
As the Director of Commercial Credit Risk, you will be at the forefront of managing and directing our commercial credit risk strategies. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting our ambitious growth targets by ensuring our credit risk frameworks are robust, effective, and aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive credit risk policies and procedures for commercial lending activities.
- Conduct high-level risk assessments to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks affecting the company’s commercial portfolio.
- Work closely with senior management to integrate credit risk management with overall business strategies.
- Provide leadership and direction to the credit risk team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the preparation of risk analysis reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and manage exposures to ensure they are within acceptable risk appetite and limits.
- Implement dynamic risk assessment tools and techniques to enhance decision-making processes.
- Communicate complex risk assessments and recommendations to non-specialist audiences, including senior management and board members.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.

Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in commercial credit risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading teams and working collaboratively across departments.
- Proven track record of managing risk in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
