Position Overview
The GEHA Health Plan is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Expert to drive growth and expansion in the new PSHB plan market. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for being the departmental expert on all things PSHB with a primary focus on developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to promote GEHA health plans to eligible USPS employees and annuitants. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a program from the ground up and contribute to the enhancement of healthcare access and affordability for postal workers and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Become an expert on all aspects of the new PSHB program and provide insight across the growth organization and company, regarding PSHB.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, sales, and customer service to ensure alignment of PSHB efforts with organizational growth objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to maintain and grow market penetration with the new PSHB product to achieve revenue and growth targets under the new PSHB Plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, ABOs, unions, associations, and other key stakeholders in the market.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, and networking activities.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, performance metrics, and market insights to senior management.
- Stay informed about PSHB trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform sales and growth division strategies and positioning.
- Conduct presentations, webinars, and training sessions to educate stakeholders about the features, benefits, and value proposition of the new PSHB product and plan offerings.
- Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on PSHB.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; additional years of qualifying work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or account management within the healthcare or insurance industry. This should include 3 years of experience working with FEHB, commercial Medicare-related products, MAPD, or ACA.
- Proven history of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including brokers, employers, unions, and industry influencers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and negotiate effectively with clients and partners.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to develop and execute actionable sales plans that drive results.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and develop insights to inform decision-making.
- Initiative-taking and purposeful with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and value.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and other sales enablement tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support business development activities. Requires frequent travel, 25% of working time, to meet with clients and attend industry events.

- Master's degree preferred.
Work-at-home Requirements
- Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High-Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mbps download x 5mbps upload) is required.
- Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms.
- Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet service are NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

The annual base salary range for this position is $98,272 - $138,528 USD.
