*Description:*
*Position requires excellent listening, and a clear communications skillset coupled w/a patient, friendly, empathetic, and thorough demeanor
*Receive and respond to patient billing inquires via phone, e-mail, voicemail, or other communication channels
*Provide accurate and relevant information to patients regarding insurance billing, insurance benefits and coverages, co-payments, deductibles, coinsurances, and outstanding balances due from prior or upcoming appointments/dates of service
*Take patient credit card payments, process them via credit card terminal and post accurately to the practice management system
*Evaluate patient inquiries and provide accurate, proper, and timely solutions
*Maintain patient records (application of notes, demographic updates, etc.) in the practice management system accurately
*Escalate complex issues to RCM leadership, as necessary, starting w/RCM Managers
*Spanish-speaking patient call center support staff personnel would be a +
*Experience w/NextGen practice management system would be a +
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
* Previous experience in medical billing, collections, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
* Proficiency in using billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
