Construction Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing precise cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring all aspects of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services are included.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to accurately determine the scope of work.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify project requirements and address discrepancies.
• Develop bid proposals, budgets, and cost forecasts for potential and ongoing projects.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to assess conditions and verify existing information.
• Identify potential risks and propose cost-saving strategies to achieve profitable project outcomes.
• Track and manage changes in project scope, budget, and schedules to ensure accurate cost reporting.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
• Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry standards to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in general contracting.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
