Overview

As a Roofing and Solar Sales Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs to our sales staff, with a focus on roofing and solar product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills. Your goal will be to enhance our team's performance, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively sell our roofing and solar solutions.


Key Responsibilities


Training Development:

  1. Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new and existing sales staff.
  2. Update training materials to reflect the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in roofing and solar sales.

Training Delivery:

  1. Conduct engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually.
  2. Utilize a variety of training methodologies, tools, and techniques to ensure maximum learning and retention.

Performance Monitoring:

  1. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as needed.
  2. Provide ongoing support and coaching to sales staff, addressing specific training needs.

Collaboration:

  1. Work closely with sales management to identify training needs and develop strategies to improve sales performance.
  2. Liaise with product teams to stay updated on product developments and integrate this knowledge into training programs.
  3. Assist with recruitment of sales personnel.

Administrative Duties:

  1. Maintain records of training activities and monitor sales staff performance post-training.
  2. Prepare and manage the training budget.

Compensation And Benefits:

  1. Yearly Salary: $104,000 plus commissions (based on team's performance).

Schedule:

  1. Workdays: Monday to Friday.
  2. Availability: Openness to working Saturdays and evenings as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Education, or related field preferred.
  2. Strong understanding of sales techniques.
  3. Proven experience as a Sales Trainer with a focus on roofing and/or solar products (3+ years preferred).
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and modern training software.
  6. Valid Driver's License.
