Position

The Analytics Manager position offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about applying their data and management experiences to enhance educational programs and contribute to the growth of a far-reaching entrepreneurial social venture. Reporting to the Director of Data Science and Analytics (DSA), this person will manage projects and people, and execute on data-related operations and initiatives, often working across multiple teams at QuestBridge.

Our Analytics Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with program, data, and engineering team members across other departments for thought partnership, feedback, and growth. In addition to data science and analytics experience, this position requires a strong focus on rigor, communication, project management, and systems-thinking. Responsibilities

Success in this role is defined by achieving the following:

1. Well-documented code that others can easily reuse and/or build upon
2. Timely and relevant analyses and reports for operational use
3. Completion of complex reporting and analysis requests
4. Creation and maintenance of documentation of QuestBridge data and data processes
5. Successful management of multiple priority areas (College Programs, Alumni Programs, and others) and team members to achieve strategic and programmatic objectives and key results
6. Improvements in QuestBridge's data consistency, accuracy, and usage
7. Detailed understanding of all relevant internal and external data related to priority areas
8. Periodic record consolidation and data cleaning in collaboration with other data-oriented staff
9. Ability to support data-related operational tasks across the organization
10. Travel to events to interact and support students and apply these experiences to continuously improve programming
11. Read and evaluate student applications for the College Prep Scholars Program, National College Match, and other various opportunities
12. Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

1. Relevant work experience or training of at least 4 years
2. Demonstrated experience working in a centralized role that requires collaboration with many teams across a given organization
3. Previous success in leading data initiatives for impact (scoping, managing stakeholders, visualization, insights, improved decision-making)
4. Ability to leverage best coding practices to conduct data cleaning, data wrangling, analyses, and build data products
5. Familiarity with some or all of the following:
1. SQL
2. Python (Pandas, Scikit Learn, etc.)
3. R
4. Git
5. Statistics
6. Functional programming
6. Exceptional attention to detail, with ability to maintain focus on the larger picture
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills
8. Ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish (organizing bandwidth, workflows, and multiple deliverables for on-time delivery) in fast-paced environments
9. Ability to incorporate feedback
10. Track record of taking initiative
11. Passion for QuestBridge's mission

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or another quantitative field or equivalent experience
2. Experience working with data in the education sector
3. Experience increasing efficiency of processes, and automation of analyses and reporting
4. Experience using CRM platforms and applications

Salary

$137,400-$165,000

Hours and Location

This is a full-time position remote within the US. Employees will be expected to be engaged online and travel approximately once per quarter.
