Your Role
The People & Engagement HR:Connect team is a critical part of Human Resources service delivery for all of Blue Shield of California (BSC). The HR Analyst, Senior will report to the Manager, HR:Connect. In this role you will be supporting the HR:Connect team who provides Tier 1 HR support for all employees. You will be managing the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of existing resources, analyzing service data, escalations, training and coaching and additional strategic team projects.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
  • Manage and execute sensitive and/or complex operational processes and data audits. Will include operational processes and HRIS system transactions, analysis of HR: Connect case and call metrics
  • Work closely with internal HR Stakeholders for problem resolution/escalation and process improvement
  • Be responsible for policy documentation and workflow creation
  • Analyzes data, develop, and generate routine and ad-hoc reports
  • Consults and coach the HR Specialists or other analysts for escalated HR cases. This will include training new specialists/analysts. Will also act as an escalation path to handle more complex cases and situations
  • Lead and support a majority of HR: Connect roadmap and other projects by participating in the project development, eliciting the business requirements, and supporting stakeholder analyses
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
  • College degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior HR-related experience in an HR role (or 7 years of HR Generalist experience)
  • Requires advanced knowledge of HR obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires practical knowledge of project management
  • Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires experience processing HR data and creating reports to analyze trends and key takeaways
  • Requires experience managing and executing training programs for new team members
  • Requires interpersonal skills necessary to appropriately handle employee cases, escalations, and collaborative interactions with diverse stakeholders within HR
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills and experience creating and maintaining procedure and policy documentation
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 77990.00 to $ 116930.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
