Carroll Park Healthcare has an amazing opportunity for a Director of Rehabilitation. (PT, OT, SLP, COTA, PTA with SNF/LTC management experience all welcome to apply)
Ideal candidates will have experience managing a LTC/SNF facility and uses or has used the systems Net Health and PCC.
We are an in-house facility with an "out of the box" approach to patient care. We provide our residents with all of the therapy they need and deserve. (20 hours a week - flexible schedules)
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works with the board of directors and department heads to develop short- and long-range plans and goals aimed at providing quality patient care that answers the needs of the community. Allocates financial and space resources among departments based on those decisions.
- Works with the comptroller and each department head to develop yearly budgets and effective controls on expenditures. Plans department staffing on basis of projected income and operating expenses.
- Works with the comptroller to review patient fee structures and makes necessary adjustments.
- Works with the human resource department and makes decisions on the selection of department heads.
- Works with department heads to develop interdepartmental training programs for staff.
- Works with the safety committee to establish safety protocols for the facility and to comply with government health and safety regulations.
- Attends symposia and conferences to stay abreast of new methods and technologies for rehabilitation services.
- Works to build community awareness, cooperation, and financial support.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of management theories.
- Knowledge of employee management.
- Knowledge of financial management.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong organizational ability.
- Team leadership and guidance as needed.
- Hiring and ability to conduct professional interviews with therapists.
Required licensure:
Current License as a PT, OT, COTA, PTA, or SLP Therapist in the State of Maryland. Must be in good standing.
