Digital Product Owner
Brooksource is hiring an experienced Digital Product Owner to join our Fortune 12 health insurance client’s core platform engineering web and digital technology team. In this role, you will be tasked with maximizing the value of digital solutions by managing the product backlog and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will leverage your strong background in healthcare and digital packaged business capabilities to bridge the gap between product and engineering teams, ensuring the seamless integration and delivery of complex digital solutions. Our client is looking for a highly skilled individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment where timely delivery and quality are critical.
Top skills and Ideal candidate background:
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and platforms, including web and mobile
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies and software development
- Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks to facilitate discussions with developers
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a related role
- Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Jira, FIGMA, and other wireframing/prototyping tools
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and stakeholders
Day to Day
- Manage the product backlog by detailing user stories, setting sprint goals, and prioritizing tasks
- Break down solutions into user experiences and technical features to facilitate the development phase
- Support all aspects of the digital software development cycle, including requirements gathering, design, stakeholder engagement, testing, and delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, developers, QA, and analytics teams
- Ensure product quality and timely delivery while keeping stakeholders informed about development progress
- Conduct user tests to improve the product and suggest areas for internal process enhancements
