Full Stack Software Engineer

The Role

You will be part of a development/architecture team responsible for the creation and support of the Cognitive Computing Platform. This platform allows customers to interact with Fidelity in increasingly human ways on the channels that are important to them. As part of the team, you will be enabling customers to get the most out of what Fidelity can offer through the creation of intuitive and highly engaging experiences that enable today's digitally savvy consumer to take control of their finances and feel confident in the choices that they make.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Experience with 1 or more programming languages desired
  • Desire/ability to learn and implement new technologies
  • Experience/Certification in Cloud-based (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc...) Development / Architecture is beneficial
  • Experience with NodeJS/Python would be beneficial
  • Experience with JSON document (swagger doc) would be beneficial
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture is beneficial
  • Experience with multiple enterprise technologies would be beneficial
  • Exposure to Agile development methodology is desired
  • Exposure to front-end UI technologies would be beneficial
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly matrix environment to achieve group goals
  • Possess a desire and aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Ability to use business requirements to develop technical designs, define architectural strategies and solutions
  • Ability to perform the coding to deliver polyglot solutions that delight our customers
  • Ability to partner effectively with your technology business partners
  • Ability to advise and guide less experienced developers in their work
  • Ability to describe problems and recommend solutions to project leaders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a development/architecture team responsible for the creation and support of the Cognitive Computing Platform
  • Your role will focus on developing/implementing the capabilities of the Cognitive Computing Platform in a Full Stack Developer capacity on an Agile/Scrum team
  • Daily activities will involve development, automated testing, meeting with technology peers (including architecture) to work through technical designs, supporting other developers on the team with their deliverables, and participating in Agile ceremonies.
