The Denver Hospice has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative.
Location : Denver, CO
Status: Full-time
Schedule : 8a-5p or 9a-6p M-F w/occasional weekends
Pay Range: $27.23 - $33.91 per hour
Supplemental Pay: Based on position, schedule and/or availability: Overtime
Mileage and Expense Reimbursement: Sixty-two and a half cents per mile – one of the highest in the industry!

REWARDING WORK YOU WILL DO:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for acquiring consents from patients and families for hospice services, providing detailed explanations of hospice services, and assisting with admissions documentation. This is a field-based position that requires daily interactions with patients, families, and referral sources to ensure proper understanding and seamless initiation of hospice care. The position plays a key role in the patient access department for hospice services, supporting the mission of providing compassionate end-of-life care.
  • Acquires consent from patients and families for hospice services by clearly explaining the services offered, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and referral sources to facilitate the hospice admission process.
  • Provides detailed explanations of hospice services, including eligibility, care options, and benefits, in various settings such as home, long-term care, and assisted living facilities.
  • Coordinates with referral sources, such as discharge planners and healthcare providers, to ensure timely and accurate communication regarding hospice services.
  • Accurately completes and presents admission paperwork, including legal documents and necessary consents, to patients and families.
  • Educates patients, families, and community members about end-of-life care and hospice services, ensuring they have a full understanding of the support available.
  • Collaborates closely with clinical teams, marketing, and business development to ensure effective patient access and care delivery.
  • Maintains detailed records of interactions with patients, families, and referral sources, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with insurance verification and authorization processes as needed to support the admissions team.
  • Participates in outreach efforts and community events as needed to promote hospice services and educate the community on hospice care.
WHAT WE ARE GOING TO LOVE ABOUT YOU:
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma. Some college required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or healthcare-related field preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • Minimum Experience: Four to five (4-5) years’ experience in marketing, sales, or healthcare relationship.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance in accordance with state statute.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 30 lbs

Care Synergy provides mission support services to better equip The Denver Hospice to operate as a distinct and independent organization while working together to share best practices and serve more Coloradans along the Front Range.
