Position
Senior Consulting Engineer - VRF
Location
USA, San Francisco, CA Silicon Valley
How You'll Create Possibilities
- Provide troubleshooting assistance to customers, reps, or internal salespeople by phone and email communication.
- Assist in preparation of training course materials in support of Haier VRF including but not limited to: installation, startup, troubleshooting, service, and controls.
- Provide onsite job site assistance for installation, troubleshooting, and startup.
- Work closely with other team members to refine and enhance product offerings to best support contractors’ needs and simplify technical service processes (30%).
- Work closely with product service team and factory R&D engineers to understand existing and new product service-related features and sequence-of-operations, and create internal and external reference documentation communicating such information (30%).
- Transfer knowledge of new and existing products to the sales team.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical degree or technical training.
- 5 years of experience in the residential and commercial HVAC industry.
- Technical experience in product applications; ductless split and VRF (variable refrigerant flow) background is a plus.
- High school degree or equivalent GED.
- Great knowledge of product/feature, product details/operation, strategic application, and positioning.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural blueprints, specifications, and HVAC equipment submittal data.
- Comfortable presenting to and engaging with a technical audience including engineers, distributors, and contractors.
- Strong problem-solver with a passion for training and customer support.
- Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint presentations & Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Travel – 20-50% depending on the season; most domestic, international might be needed.
