Job Requirements / Description
Harbor Health is always seeking Patient Access Representatives to join our per diem pools at our community health center locations including Boston, Plymouth, Harwich, Hyannis. Hours include day, some evenings until 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to Noon.
The Patient Access Representative greets and assists patients entering the Health Center by: registering new patients; verifying scheduled appointments, insurance information and scheduling follow up appointments; entering pertinent patient data and account information; insuring data is current and accurate; collecting fees as appropriate and explaining insurance options as needed.
Required/Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 1 or more years of experience in a community health center and/or a professional or business environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Basic computer literacy, Basic Math, reading comprehension and problem solving skills
  • Bilingual skills English/Vietnamese (for Boston locations), English/Portuguese or English/Spanish (for Boston, Plymouth or Cape Cod locations highly desired
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology a plus!
