Electrical Systems EngineerAs an Electrical System Engineer II, you will be a viable member of a team focused on building high-quality, state-of-the-art passenger trains.Key ActivitiesDesign of electrical components and specification of systems, functions and associated interfaces in compliance with project requirementsIntegration of assigned electrical equipment and systems into rail vehicles and responsibility for their proper functioning in the vehiclePreparation of engineering documentation, such as concepts, specifications, electrical schematic templates, software requirements, type test specifications and verification documentsVerification and validation of systems through final approvalProvide technical support of type tests and troubleshootingTechnical clarifications and cooperation with internal and external project partners (customers and suppliers) in an international environmentDevelopment and optimization of systems in interdisciplinary teams in compliance with customer specifications, standards and internal requirementsTechnical support for the preparation of offers and tendersElectrical Engineering FocusSystem integration: specify and integrate subcontractor systems electrically and functionally, such as entry systems, HVAC systems, fire protection systems and interior lightingPower supply: Design of power distribution and supply of all on-board power systems from the power converter, such as the on-board power system, battery power system and control power systemVehicle control: Control and operation of the vehicle and design of functions and systems, such as basic functions, safety functions, assistance systems, driving data recording system, control technology, train protection and train busQualificationsBS or MS in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering3 - 5 years of relevant experience in railway, defense, aerospace or similarExcellent communication and technical writing skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities with strong teamwork skillsBusiness fluent in English (German is a plus)Experience with schematic software, MS Office, PLM and ECN systems (e.g. E3, SmarTeam)Willingness to travel for supplier visits and testing on vehicles#M-1#LI-JB1System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
