Summary:
The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for creating and implementing a content and advertising strategy for all digital communication channels (e.g. social, email, website, digital banking), including campaigns, content marketing and reputation management. They will be confident testing and exploring innovative ways to leverage new and existing technology, analyzing data to expand and enhance the delivery of digital content to target audiences. This position plays a key role in maximizing Meritus Credit Union's digital presence, driving member acquisition, sales conversions and supporting organizational growth objectives.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business administration or related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience in this field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in digital channel management, social media management, or related experience required.

  • Working knowledge & experience with managing several social media platforms. Experience with HubSpot, Asana or similar CRMs and project management software is preferred.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, projects and information simultaneously.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Other Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance is required for accomplishing job requirements.
Work Environment:
  • Extensive use of a desktop computer and/or laptop is required.
  • Occasional physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, twisting and reaching.
  • Weekend, evening hours and travel may be requested of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Build a social content strategy and manage all social channels to drive online traffic, increase engagement and brand awareness, and develop member loyalty, while responding to questions or comments in a timely manner.
  1. Maintain and update website, digital channels and contact lists (adding/deleting/tagging contacts) for use in email, social media and other digital campaigns.
  1. Develop engaging email marketing campaigns and workflows, monitoring performance to identify areas to optimize and improve adoption.
  1. Capture content for social media platforms including, photos, videos, etc., utilizing editing software to create compelling content experiences.
  1. Monitor and analyze key metrics across digital communication channels, providing recommendations to further enhance member experience, reduce friction and drive growth. Prepare and present reports to make data-driven suggestions and decisions for enhancements.
  1. Monitor, track, manage and report all digital communication reputation risks including managing responses in accordance with policies and regulatory compliance.
  1. Communicate cross-functionally between partners and vendors as needed to execute projects accurately and by deadline.
  1. Stay updated on digital marketing best practices, emerging trends and technologies, member insights and industry shifts to continuously elevate the effectiveness and reach of digital content to ensure the growth of our digital communication platforms.
  1. Maintain an understanding of the credit union's products, services, policies and procedures.
  1. Assist Marketing team in the planning and execution of special events.
  1. Other duties and tasks as assigned.
