Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of systems administration (or related) experience, including Windows and Linux network admin; will consider 15+ years of experience without a degree.
- SAS requires a CITE Facility Administrator to execute spanning five key disciplines:
- Network Management
- Network Design/Architecture
- Network Systems Engineering
- Network Installation/Maintenance
- Information Systems Security Engineering
- SAS requires experienced Network Managers/Administrators with Radio Frequency systems and components familiarity who are capable of reliably executing the following responsibilities:
- Consult and coordinate with external organizations to resolve network, system, server, or other development and test infrastructure issues.
- Identify and select IT products, tools, services, and infrastructure components for development systems.
- Strategize/design/select architectures and procedures required to solve complex infrastructure problems.
- Develop/contribute to/evaluate technical proposals for changes to CITE facility networks.
- Install and customize as necessary HW and/or SW components into development and test infrastructure computer systems and networks.
- Maintain computer system and network HW or SW, including UPS network.
- Manage, monitor, and control networks.
- Troubleshoot networks, computers, and peripheral devices to isolate causes of failures/issues.
- Conduct site surveys for IT installations.
- Validate testing and quality assurance of development and test infrastructure systems.
- Analyze infrastructure problems to determine technical solutions.
- Identify new and existing products, technologies, and/or architectures to solve design, development, and test problems.
- Perform high-level design, specifying system and component performance and interface requirements.
- Translate conceptual designs into technical specifications.
- Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, configure, and improve development and test infrastructure equipment.
- Perform all life cycle support: HW, SW, firmware, and configuration upgrades or modifications to currently installed development and test infrastructure equipment.
- Effect repair and modification of HW components to include micro-soldering to replace components, repair traces to keep systems/devices in operating condition, and facilitate reverse engineering efforts.
The specialized skills required for this highly complex role include:
- Understanding the architecture/topology of SW/HW/networks, including WANs/CANs/LANs, telecommunication systems, their components, and associated protocols and standards.
- Configuring, managing, and sustaining development and testing network infrastructure and computer systems.
- Comprehension of the theory, design, and implementation of network architectures.
- Applying concepts, principles, theories, and methods for designing, development, evaluating, testing, and securing development and testing infrastructure networks.
- Monitoring and maintaining applications within an IT environment.
- Expertise in the concepts, principles, theories, and methods for network connectivity (e.g. routing, switching, and IP addressing).
- Maintaining awareness of new, emerging, and evolving technology, tools, and trends applicable to mobile/RF development and testing infrastructure networks requirements.
- Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and theories of telecommunications, including their components and associated protocols and standards, and how they integrate with one another (e.g. transmissions, switching, routing management).
- Experience in the design, implementation, and operation of telecommunications systems.
- Familiarity with the specifications, uses, and types of security hardware and software options.
- Understanding of the concepts and principles of computer security.
- Using the principles and key elements of Configuration Management to plan, manage, or document the implementation, modification, or integration of systems.
- Implementing, configuring, and sustaining computer/network security solutions (e.g. encryption, firewalls, anti-virus rule sets, and intrusion detection/prevention systems).
- Planning, coordinating, and administering the installation, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Maintaining systems inventory, non-attributable systems matrix, and rack/elevation/room drawings.
- Implementing safety protocols.

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
