WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Refugee Case Manager is a non-exempt position responsible the provision of services to refugees and eligible clients that lead to their self-sufficiency and integration. The Refugee Case Manager will be responsible for the completion of enrollments, assessments, client eligibility determinations, service plans, and client data collection in order to help refugees and their families achieve success in their integration into life in the United States. In this role the Refugee Case Manager will also work across programs such as Preferred Communities, Refugee Employment, Florida Center for Survivors of Torture, Refugee Resettlement, and other refugee programs.
- Enroll eligible clients by conducting all necessary forms.
- Provide orientation to newly enrolled clients.
- Assist refugees in developing individualized service plans so that they may achieve self-sufficiency.
- Conduct quarterly assessments of the Career Development Plans.
- Provide case management, refugees enrolled in the program.
- Determine the needs for medical, legal, mental health, educational and social services.
- Assist clients with enrolling in services that are geared towards their Service Plans.
- Assess client transportation needs and as needed provide transportation.
- Accompany refugees to appointments.
- Maintain and document in case files for each client in accordance with funder regulations and as required by the agency.
- Prepare and document financial assistance provided towards client's goals.
- Complete funder and agency forms.
- Ensure that all grant guidelines are followed, and deadline dates are met.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Program Manager and Director of Refugee Services.

- Bachelor's degree in education, human services or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with refugees and immigrants preferred.
- Two (2) years' of successful relevant experience, or a combination of education and life experience required.
- Cross-cultural experience or cultural diversity training required.
- Bilingual, preferably in languages most spoken by clients (Spanish, Dari Pashto, Creole)
- Must have a valid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance coverage.
