Responsibilities for Senior level Mechanical Engineer:

  • Able to communicate directly with clients.
  • Plan, conceptualize, and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment.
  • Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work.
  • Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications (using computer software).
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget.
  • Able to travel to project sites.

Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 10+ years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm including some Mission Critical (data center) design experience.
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge and familiarity in use of mechanical engineering software such as but not limited to heat loss/gain calcs, pipe-flo, CFD modeling, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to junior staff for project development.
  • Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements.
