THIS POSITION IS ONSITE AT BETHESDA, MD.
T HIS POSITION IS PART TIME: 20 hours per week during core business hours. (either 10a-2pm or 1pm-5pm each day, M-F, Eastern some flexibility possible.)
Duties:
Hands-on Infrastructure Support tasks:
- Handle equipment in physical inventory at STIs Bethesda office, pack and deliver for shipping as needed; requires vehicle and valid Drivers License. Mileage reimbursable.
- Identify, request approval for and purchase equipment, individual licenses, packing materials, etc. for immediate need for new employees and to replace aged/damaged equipment - using equipment purchasing and cost guidelines developed to match types of equipment to employee roles/needs - Update the guidelines as needed.
- Prepare shipping labels
- Communicate with users/requestors as to the status of issues and requests
- Completing expense reports related to travel.
- Occasional rapid turnaround on setup and shipping
- Attend troubleshooting meetings with more senior personnel for STI staff computer equipment in the field.
- Able to lift boxes up to 25lbs; The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work location is Bethesda MD office
Inventory
- Update inventory to keep track of spare equipment and who has what assets in the field.
- Forward all inventory related documentation to asset management personnel.
- Participate in physical inventory review at office as needed, working with remote personnel to catalog existing on the shelf equipment.
- Replenish/make replenishment recommendations as needed, so we maintain an adequate supply of laptops, etc.
- Review inventory as needed when allocating equipment to an employee, determining most suitable equipment based on inventory and what is available for purchase within established guidelines
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
1+ year experience with similar work: customer service or IT support. Some technical training such as college IT courses, or certifications such as CompTIA A+ can substitute for the experience.
Proficient with use of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Requires vehicle and current, valid Drivers License
Corporate policy requires immunizations including COVID vaccination or documented exception.
Must be clearable (US citizenship required).

Compensation details: 18-20 Hourly Wage
