Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic Engineering or related field from an accredited college; minimum three years related work experience
- Ceramic Engineer or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of ceramic materials, processes, and product development
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to work successfully with various teams/departments
- Strong communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Solid statistical analysis ability including SPC
- Accuracy and organizational skills with great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion; must approach situations with unbiased
- and mature attitude
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates 3D models of parts and prototypes using Solidworks software.
- Generates 2D prints using AutoCAD for part prints and tool designs.
- Feasibility assessment of specifications, new part designs and tooling.
- Completing cost estimate worksheets (CEW's) and engineering change notifications (ECN's).
- Assist with developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment conferring with equipment vendors as needed.
- Conducts research to determine equipment and parts availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost of specified projects.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods as needed; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing process.
- Identifies causes of process instability and recommends solutions.
- Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified.
- Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
