Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. In our mission to stop men dying too young, we're seeking an experienced Implementation Director, Prostate Cancer to join our Santa Monica based team.
About the role
The Implementation Director for Prostate Cancer (US) leads the national adoption of Movember's Prostate Cancer initiatives, collaborating with global and regional teams. Key responsibilities include building partnerships, preparing for initiative implementation, sustaining projects, and addressing market-specific needs. Reporting to the Global Director in Australia, this role is essential for representing Movember's prostate cancer efforts in the US and working with various stakeholders to meet charitable objectives.
You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Santa Monica office (2-3 days per week).
You'll have the opportunity to
  • Develop and oversee the US-based delivery of prostate cancer initiatives to achieve our business plan goals for research, sexual health and wellbeing, clinical quality, personalized cancer care and health equity.
  • Serve as in-market subject matter expert to bring data and insights on prostate cancer and new and emerging research relevant to the implementation of global prostate cancer initiatives and country-specific plans.
  • Identify, develop and maintain strong working relationships across the cancer sector, including national and state-based organizations and societies, researchers, clinicians, health care providers, community organizations, hospitals and cancer centers, and other implementation delivery partners across the United States to increase Movember's reach and collective impact.
  • Be a public spokesperson for Movember in the US in major forums, conferences, workshops, sector meetings and events that contribute to achieving Movember's cancer strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with business partners in fundraising, marketing, communications, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and finance to support business development and needs related to partnerships, messaging and implementation plan delivery.
  • Be part of leadership team supporting the success of national fundraising and marketing plans and provide greater synergy between Movember fundraising activity and the programming teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the partnerships team and impact manager to develop commercial partnerships for cancer initiatives in the United States.
For this role, you'll need
  • Degree qualified in health, health services or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge and experience in prostate cancer
  • 7+ years of program implementation experience in healthcare in the United States
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining productive partnerships and relationships with external stakeholders
  • Experience achieving clinical adoption, implementation and scaling of programs or products
  • Proven ability to deliver and influence outcomes as a business partner in an integrated cross-functional matrix organization, without direct authority
  • Can translate strategy into action, proven track record in implementation of a portfolio of impact initiatives
  • Proven ability to achieve impact through collaboration across the sector
  • Project Management experience

  • Confident presenting at conferences, events and/or media
  • Proven track record of organizing projects specific to prostate cancer research, sexual health and health equity
  • Experience with product implementation in Oncology
