**Where you will work:_This position will be based out of Astound’s Austin, TX
office._**
**A Day in the Life of the Broadband Network Technician I:**
* _Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages_
* _Emergency coax restoration_
* _Underground cable_
* _Maintenance (power supply, actives)_
* _Leakage_
* _Splicing_
* _Documentation_
* _Participation in a 247 on-call rotation_
* _Other duties as assigned_
**What You Bring to the Table:**
* _Experience: 2+ years (telecom technician)_
* _Competencies: Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid drivers license; Customer Service, Communication (verbal, written), Basic Computer Skills; Aptitude to learn to skills; Problem solving; Time Management; Teamwork; Working alone; Ability to read and interpret maps; Bucket Certified; Ohm’s; Understand the Outside Plant_
**Physical Requirements:**
* _Ability to lift up to 75 lbs_
* _Standing and walking for extended periods of time_
**Education and Certifications:**
* _High School Diploma or equivalent_
