We are currently looking for a Full-Time Patient Care Tech to join our team located in Jacksonville, FL.
The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
No weekend shifts and no major holidays! About the Role: Assists inexamination, treatment, and assistance of patients under direction ofPhysician, Advanced Practitioner and/ or RN in compliance with state practiceacts and regulations.
Essential Functions: Interviews patients,measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight,and height, and records information on patients' charts.
Provides patients'personal hygiene, assisting with travel to the bathroom/toileting, andactivities of daily living.
Prepares treatmentrooms and patients for examination.
Cleans and sterilizesinstruments.
Inventories and ordersmedical supplies and materials.
Operateselectrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostictests.
Performs routine CLIAwaived laboratory tests/collects specimens for routine laboratory tests.
Schedules appointmentsand makes follow up phone calls to patients.
Performsadministrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulatedforms, and provides assistance at front desk.
Keys data intocomputer to maintain clinic and patient records.
Other duties may beassigned.
Job Requirements: Education: CPR (BLS for theHealthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer
- the copy must include the front andback of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation ofskills by the trainer/instructor.
Total on-line courses will not be accepted.
Coursemust also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not bean AHA certificate.
State Lab Certificate(NV only) Associate’s degree orequivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Programtraining program (preferred). Experience: Work experience inhealth center/ doctor’s office setting patient and/or long-term care.
Knowledge andexperience with Electronic Medical Records (preferred).
