About the role
Reworld is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lab Technician to join our team. The Lab Technician will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including sample preparation, lab housekeeping, supplies, and reporting of results.
Responsibilities:
Prepare samples according to established protocols and procedures.
Procurement of needed supplies to keep the laboratories support proper and operational at all times.
Participate in general lab housekeeping, including sample sorting and disposal.
Clean glassware to meet appropriate analytical cleanliness standards.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas used during the workday.
Adhere to the Waste Analysis Plan and Chemical Hygiene Plan.
Communicate technical information effectively both orally and in writing.
Background with basic instrumentation operation and troubleshooting.
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Relevant laboratory experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the waste industry and prior experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred.
Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently.
High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Must be able to pass physical, employment verification, and drug screen
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar software.
Physical Requirements:
* Be able to climb stairs
* Be able to stand and work on your feet for the majority of your shift (less breaks)
* Must be able to lift 50lbs
