Position Summary
The VP, Consulting, will lead our US consulting teams. The consulting team is responsible for successfully deploying the Domo solution focusing on key customer business requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to contribute to business planning, competitive analysis and operational improvement. This individual will certify and be conversant in the Domo solution to lead the team by example.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Optimize the company's consulting business through the execution of programs that maximize customer value and satisfaction;
  2. Work closely with partners that engage with Domo customers in the implementation process to ensure similar results through either channel;
  3. Improve the effectiveness of consulting, education, success management and support operations to ensure positive effect on license revenue growth;
  4. Manage a client services team with direct P&L responsibility, partnering with key executives to ensure revenue and margin goals are continuously met;
  5. Develop and maintain the company's most valuable strategic client relationships while ensuring all customers receive continued communication and interaction;
  6. Drive efficiency in consulting utilization and margin while ensuring customers receive the highest value in each engagement;
  7. Build and manage the client services team including staffing, training, organizing, mentoring and coaching;
  8. Lead the team in creation of innovative reusable service offerings leveraging industry expertise;
  9. Collaborate with all functional areas of the business to ensure effective knowledge sharing and team participation;
  10. Possess a thorough understanding of the organization's processes, business practice, products and services to be a subject matter expert; evolve and iterate it to be more efficient.

Job Requirements

  1. 10 years of successful progressive experience in consulting, relationship management and new business development, preferably in a SaaS software environment;
  2. Documented leadership experience and ability to develop a professional team through measurable increases in productivity and quality;
  3. References from previous management and employees that interacted and can attest to the superior ability to lead and coach;
  4. Experience in managing complex projects, large customers, interacting with partners and tightly communicating with other internal organizations;
  5. Strong leader with ability to partner with sales and other cross-functional departments;
  6. Effective face-to-face office interaction with other managers and subordinates;
  7. Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, product demonstration, people management and organizational skills;
  8. Ability to negotiate with customers, partners, prospects, vendors and internal teams;
  9. Technical proficiency in SaaS and data platforms;
  10. Strong, executive level customer relationship and communication experience;
  11. Deep business acumen, financial skills and metric-driven mentality.
