Princeton Tool, a Princeton Precision Group company is seeking an experienced and dedicated CNC Grind Machinist. The CNC Grind Machinist will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of CNC machining processes holding tolerances of
+/- .0001, machining and programming complex parts and comfort with creep feed surface grinding processes. The CNC Grind Machinist will set up, program, and operate surface grinding machines to create smooth surfaces compliant to customer specifications.

Requirements
  • Setup, operate, and program CNC creep feed grinder
  • Verify machine settings prior to operation
  • Follow specifications according to customer or internal work instructions
  • Perform precision deburr using handpiece and scope
  • Perform 1st part, in-process, and last piece inspection using various gauges, comparator, and / or CMM
  • Collect and document measurement data
  • Perform basic machine maintenance according to PM schedule
  • Manage consumables inventory
  • Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions
  • Make tooling design and optimization recommendations
  • Troubleshoot and correct tool or equipment issues
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace
  • Train and mentor additional personnel to cover increasing production
  • Grind complex features maintaining +/- .0001 in high temp resistant alloys
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Understanding of basic fixture and tool design
  • Ability to perform basic shop math and computer (PC) literacy
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team or minimally supervised setting
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to contribute to organizational goals with a creative, positive, and collaborative approach to projects
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of relevant CNC surface grinding experience
  • Proven track record with consistent industry applicable employment
  • Provide portfolio or examples of work
  • Willingness to demonstrate on-machine aptitude
  • Willingness to work overtime as requested
