FULL STACK .NET WEB DEVELOPER
We are considering developers at Mid or Senior level
JOB SUMMARY:
This fundamental role will build software to support staff and licensed customers as they work to market the Certified Angus Beef® Brand. This position will be challenged to come up with primarily web-based solutions to meet the needs of all users; .NET web development skills are essential. Many ongoing projects will provide skill building opportunities and personal growth. Successful developers will possess the ability to communicate technical concepts with staff, think analytically and continually seek expansion of personal abilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the team to analyze problems and requirements from our users
  • Put thought into finding a good solution to fit the requirements
  • Develop the code needed to solve the problem and meet the requirements
  • Work with users to make sure the solution meets their needs and that they know how to use it
  • Continuously grow your knowledge, skills, and abilities
Location: This position is located in Wooster, Ohio with possible opportunity for hybrid (remote/in-office) work.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
  • Possession of an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, in Computer Science (Software Development) or Information Systems Management (MIS) or a related field; and
  • Minimum of 3 years of .NET experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Non-technical
    • Ability to think analytically and apply it to solve problems our users face
    • Initiative to advance projects towards quality solutions
    • Must be able to effectively communicate with technical and, non-technical people
    • Strong attention to detail with a desire to solve problems properly
    • Willingness to support other developers on the team
  • Technical
    • Strong knowledge of C# and Microsoft's .NET ecosystem
    • Experience with Web Development and such technologies as JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap
    • Experience with ASP.NET MVC
    • Hands-on experience with Visual Studio
    • Understanding of Unit Testing and the benefits therein
    • Experience with Source Control, but specifically Git
    • A general understanding of CI/CD
    • Willingness to adopt and follow good architectural patterns
    • Good understanding of relational database structure and experience working with SQL Server (SQL Server Management Studio)
