CAD Technician

The Opportunity:
Gemini Water is looking for a dynamic full time Mechanical Designer (2D and 3D CAD) to join our multi discipline team at our Gainesville Florida office. The ideal candidate will be developing systems in the expanding industry of water and wastewater treatment.
Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and drafting of water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Ability to design piping system and layout complete drawing packages for construction projects.
• Assist in design of plumbing layouts, detail design drawings, component selection/sourcing, and pump sizing.

• Assist in MicroStation, AutoCAD and Solidworks detail drawings.
• Ability to generate schematics in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Assist in site work when required.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Engineer with a minimum 2-year experience as a designer/draftsperson is considered an asset.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in any of the following: mechanical design, plumbing design, pump selection and sizing are preferred.
• Experience in generating schematics in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D modelling and drawings in MicroStation, or similar 3D CAD system will be an asset.
• Experience in creating mechanical drawings of parts and assemblies.
• Proficient in the use of MicroStation, and experience in AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar 3D CAD is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and experience MS Office.
• Highly effective communication skillsets - reading, writing, and verbal.
• Travel and periods away from your normal place of work will be required.
• Valid driver's license and US Passport.
• Currently holds or is eligible to obtain a minimum Reliability Status security clearance.
