Job Description: Business Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives and spearhead the expansion of our business development efforts. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building and leading our Business Development team (BDR), implementing strategies, and leveraging innovative lead generation tools to drive both inbound and outbound opportunities.

Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership: Grow and lead the Business Development Team, including hiring, training, and coaching team members to excel in generating leads and contributing to revenue growth.
  2. Innovative Lead Generation: Identify, evaluate, and implement new lead generation tools and technologies that enhance our ability to identify new avenues for opportunities.
  3. Lead Pipeline Management: Manage and oversee the leads pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting and timely follow-up, optimizing the flow of leads through the sales funnel.
  4. Sales Activity Tracking: Monitor, track, and report all BDR sales activities, providing regular updates on performance, progress, and areas for improvement.
  5. Process Enhancement: Implement and streamline processes for both inbound and outbound lead handling, improving efficiency and ensuring a seamless customer journey.
  6. Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate closely with Sales Management to ensure lead quality, proper routing, and effective handoffs between the Business Development Team and the Sales Team.
  7. Prospecting Strategy: Develop a comprehensive strategy for prospecting, including identifying target markets, defining value propositions, and tailoring outreach approaches.
  8. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work collaboratively with marketing, sales leadership, and other departments to drive new revenue and ensure alignment of strategies.
  9. Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, new market opportunities, and areas for growth.
  10. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Create, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth, making data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of achieving targeted goals and driving revenue growth.
  3. Experience managing and leading an inside sales team, including hiring, training, and coaching.
  4. Exceptional leadership and management skills, demonstrated by the ability to motivate and guide a high-performing team.
  5. Proficiency in using Salesforce or other CRM systems to manage sales processes and track progress.
  6. Strong strategic thinking ability, with a deep understanding of market trends and business development strategies.
  7. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and foster cross-functional alignment.
  9. Experience implementing innovative lead generation tools and technologies.
  10. Strong analytical skills, capable of assessing market data and adjusting strategies accordingly.

We offer a generous 2 weeks of sick time annually to all employees, which is prorated based on hire date, and from Memorial day to Labor day we roll out TGIHF, half day summer Fridays which happens on a bi weekly basis throughout the summer.
