Position Summary and Objective

The Executive Protection Agent will provide a client with physical protection, security, and welfare by performing armed or unarmed executive protection missions. The position will be based in San Francisco, CA. This full-time agent will work as part of a security team covering the client and family. Most of the role will entail work in the designated region, with the possibility of both domestic and international travel. Female agents are encouraged to apply.

This position will be a FTE direct hire for Global Guardian and be assigned to the client’s security detail for a 6-month trial period. If the client selects the agent at or before the 6-month trial period, the agent will transfer over to become a FTE for the client and part of the security team.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Provide close protection and other security-related duties for the client during domestic and international assignments.
  2. Perform travel advances to review departures, arrivals, movements, routes, and emergency actions and ascertain threat vulnerabilities on all movements and travel.
  3. Securely transport the client or family members to events and appointments.
  4. Effectively manage family members to ensure safety and security precautions are maintained.
  5. Respond to emergencies and perform adequate medical first aid operations.
  6. Deescalate tense situations or individuals that arise during the conduct of a mission.
  7. Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns promptly.
  8. Effectively communicate with clients and management through incident reports and other administrative tools.
  9. Assist with protection schedules and team assignments.
  10. Operate and maintain protective, operational, and communications equipment.
  11. Promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures.
  12. Prepare mission plans and submit all required reports on time, including expense and closing reports.
  13. All other duties, as assigned.

Competencies and Attributes

  1. Low key professional demeanor who takes direction.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication; second language skills preferred.
  3. Basic defensive driving tactics training and experience.
  4. Demonstrated experience developing working relationships on assignments.
  5. Ability to maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under urgency and pressure.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Qualifications and Education

  1. At least 5 years of executive protection experience, including advanced planning, surveillance and counter-surveillance operations, and security driving; International security experience preferred.
  2. A high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree preferable.
  3. Basic medical first aid training, AED; CPR certification preferred.
  4. California Concealed Carry permit (Mandatory).
  5. California BSIS Guard Card (Mandatory).
  6. California BSIS Exposed Weapon Card (Mandatory).

Position Type and Schedule

  1. Regular Full-Time (RFT).
  2. 24/7 availability to the client while on a task.
  3. May require domestic and international travel.
  4. Flexible shift schedule when needed.

Salary Range: $150,000 annual
