General Ledger Accountant

Vaco is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join a dynamic company in the Phoenix area. In this role, you will be responsible for full cycle accounting for a mid-size accounting department and report directly to the Assistant Controller. You will be responsible for day-to-day functions, month end close and assist with year-end audits as well.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform General ledger analysis and reconciliations monthly
• Record cash transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with the year end audit
• Support the Assistant Controller and Controller with special projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA a plus but not required
• 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant
• Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve is necessary
