General Description
This role involves managing a store's expenses and assets in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities include preparing schedules, controlling inventory, maintaining documentation, and opening/closing the store as per operational guidelines.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
- Prepare store schedules and provide proper store coverage within wage control limits.
- Manage inventory accurately following company policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping in compliance with laws.
- Open and close the store following operational procedures.
Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and regular follow up.
- Recruit, develop, and train store personnel to achieve objectives.
- Administer discipline steps and termination processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Perform subordinate tasks when necessary.
- Communicate with employees at all levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- Two-year post-secondary education and one year of related experience; or equivalent combination.
- Proven ability to drive sales and minimize losses.
- Strong supervisory skills with training expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to climb ladders and work overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
- Willingness to travel overnight for training/meetings.
