Reports to: Campaigns Director

Type: Full-Time

Salary : $70,000-$75,000

Start date: December 9, 2024

Location: Remote within the U.S.

About the position: The Senior Campaign Manager will lead and support campaigns focused on the core issue areas of MPower, including Muslim organizing, combating Islamophobia, corporate accountability, and more.

The Senior Campaign Manager will pitch and lead digital-first campaigns, drive the campaign forward, and grow the MPower supporter base with list growth and social media reach.

The ideal candidate has strong writing skills and two or more years of digital campaigning experience. We are looking for someone who is either already at a senior level in campaign management or can move into that role in the next year. They must care about and have a track record of racial and gender justice work. And they must be a self-motivated leader.

MPower is a small, nimble, and growing team. We are looking for someone who will dive in and take responsibility for existing campaigns and in rapid response situations. The Senior Campaign Manager will report to the Campaign Director and work collaboratively with the other members of the team.

General duties:

  • Develop and implement strategic campaigns in MPower's core focus areas, including campaigns that engage and grow our base of supporters.
  • Write and create compelling, well-sourced content (including email, social, and SMS) to organize supporters and members to take action;
  • Create compelling campaign assets, such as emails, social media content, creative stunts, action pages, microsites, and more.
  • Draft and send action and fundraising emails to support our campaigning efforts, leveraging analytics to optimize campaign performance and identify new tools and opportunities.
  • Pitch in to help on campaigns as they develop;
  • Participate in the culture of and contribute to the broader MPower team spirit, ethos, and strategy.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Two or more years of digital campaigning experience;
  • Proficiency in design, using CANVA or Adobe products;
  • Proficiency using digital tools, including a CRM system (example: ActionKit, ControlShift, or others);
  • Eagerness to learn and test new ways of digital campaigning, processes, tools, and jump into MPower’s areas of focus;
  • A movement builder with deep ties to communities of color, and committed for the long-term to build power with marginalized communities;
  • An exceptional writer, listener, and strategic problem-solver;
  • Self-reflective—able to give, receive, and implement feedback;
  • Have a growth mindset – an approach of continuous learning
  • Self-motivated to drive campaigns from pitch to strategy to implementation with the resources at hand;
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
