Director of Operations

A high-growth confectionary brand is looking for a Director of Operations to lead their manufacturing (internal and contracted) and supply chain functions on-site in Brooklyn, NY.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Relevant experience in small to medium-sized CPG
• Strong understanding of food and beverage manufacturing
• Experience managing contract manufacturer partners and vetting/onboarding co-mans
• Ability to scale up production, expand product offering
• Strong financial acumen/demonstrated ability to reduce COGS
• Scrappy, entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
• Positive demeanor

Scope of Role:

• Oversee all operations related to manufacturing, contract manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and R&D/product development
• Lead, manage and develop the operations team (direct reports: plant manager, R&D manager, inventory/shipping supervisor)
• Active participant in leadership team with input into strategic decisions/direction
• Take measures to improve margins
• Evaluate and implement improvements to existing systems
