Key Job Responsibilities

1. Develop, audit and monitor programs for the maintenance of buildings and equipment, environmental regulatory compliance, safety of all who work & visit the Stoughton facility, and compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
2. Oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities to support production activities.
3. Direct all engineering improvements to buildings and equipment, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
4. Manage a departmental budget, the Appropriations Request (CAR) system, and utilities expenditures.
5. Recruit and maintain professional and skilled department employees and establish effective working relationships with contracted service providers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
6. Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, local and national codes, or customer requirements.
7. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties, making recommendations on maintenance needs.
8. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or systems malfunctions.
9. Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product design.

Educational and Technical Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required, with Professional Engineer designation preferred. 5 or more years of manufacturing experience as an engineer.
