**Job Title:** CT Technologist
**Job Specialty:** Diagnostic Imaging
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Full-time, weekday coverage
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours/week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
**License:** ARRT CT registry eligible
**Certifications:** American Heart Association BLS required within 60 days of hire
**Must-Have:** Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
**Job Description:**
- Provide health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment.
- Perform CT procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- Operate a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.
- Use knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high-quality images for interpretation by medical professionals.
- Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
- Perform routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on the scanner as recommended by policies and procedures.
- Assist the Radiologist and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
- Complete ancillary duties to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
- Document all required information for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
- Retrieve written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.
- Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment.
- Learn current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Physical requirements include supporting and lifting weights up to 50 pounds and carrying equipment/supplies.
- Flexible schedule may necessitate working beyond a standard workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- Handle challenging situations, de-escalate situations, and work effectively with upset individuals.
- Tasks include potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, medications, and infectious diseases.
