The preferred candidate for this role would office in the California or Arizona sales office. The potential exists to consider candidates with other office locations.

Duties

  • Developing sales objectives, plans, programs, and budgets; directing sales operations through subordinate Territory Sales Managers. Monitoring competitor products, sales, and marketing activities and adjusting sales strategies as needed. Reviewing and analyzing sales performance against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Building relationships and maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales.
  • Working with engineering, manufacturing, distribution, and matrix support areas to ensure customer needs are met and accounts are collected timely.
  • Ensuring proper development of district personnel including Territory Managers, Field Supervisors, administrative, and engineering personnel.
  • Involved in retention programs such as development planning, continued education, employee recognition, and succession planning.

Qualifications

  • College degree in sales, marketing, engineering, or equivalent professional experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of construction sales experience. Management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, training, and PC skills are required.
  • Ability to formulate and execute an annual Sales and Service Plan and effectively communicate sales leadership strategy to all members of the team.
  • Must be a creative thinker, self-motivator with the ability to negotiate.
  • Must have the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Must work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

Travel required.

Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen.
