Job Requirements / Description

Our client is a portfolio management team specializing in the systematic trading of US credit markets, is looking for a highly talented Execution Trader. This is an opportunity for someone to source (electronic and voice) liquidity in the credit markets and pilot automated trading systems and take a central role on the front lines of the team's investment process.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Portfolio Manager on electronic and non-electronic execution of all credit trades
  • Maintain strong relationships with a broad set of liquidity providers
  • Proactively monitor and assess portfolio risk exposures, in collaboration with the portfolio manager
  • Track realized transaction costs and analyze execution quality stats
  • Contribute to the internal development and external sourcing of execution algorithms
  • Be responsible for position maintenance (e.g., CDS rolls) and be the point person working with the back office for corporate actions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the investment process, in collaboration with the rest of the team

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of work experience as a credit trader in single-name CDS and/or corporate bonds.
  • Experience with OMS/EMS platforms such as MarketAxess and TradeWeb
  • Experience with credit ETFs, interest rate derivatives, or equity options markets is a plus
  • Exposure to quantitative/systematic strategies is a plus
  • Some programming skills are a plus (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel VBA) and a strong self-learner
  • Tenacious, detail-orientated, organized, and proactive about potential operational risks
  • Keen intuition for markets and a passion for studying them. Team player, driven and collaborative
