(100% Remote) Tax ConsultantJob DescriptionThe Tax Consultant ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate tax requirements and mitigates tax risk for CFC and its affiliates, working closely with third-party service providers. You will perform tax research, identify critical tax risks, monitor, evaluate and communicate the impact of changes in tax regulations. You will manage tax provisions, general ledger entries, reconciliations, unclaimed property and escheatment processes, and required financial reporting disclosures. Additionally, you will respond to tax-related inquiries from authorities, auditors, and internal teams, and assist in resolving issues. Proactive identification and implementation of tax-related process improvements are essential to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax-related SOX controls. Monitoring and updating state nexus studies based on local regulations and business activities, handling other tax matters like 1099s and property tax, and assisting with SEC filings are part of your responsibilities.
