The Surety Account Manager's main goal and function is to assist the production team in the production and service of new and existing accounts. You will support an existing book of business consisting of small to middle market accounts. This includes collaboration with teammates, engaging directly with our current client base in support of a book of business, assisting the production team with analyzing clients, reviewing and collecting client information for placement with our surety companies, building sustainable relationships, and providing engaging customer service.

Your Impact:

  • Support surety bond Producers, Account Executives, and Sr. Account Managers in day-to-day operations and client interactions
  • Assist in gathering and organizing client information for bond requests
  • Maintain proper level of communication and build effective relationships with clients and companies
  • Manage procedures in producing accurate and detailed files through our Agency Management and internal systems
  • Learn to evaluate financial statements to assess client creditworthiness
  • Work with Sales Associates directly to ensure proper handling of the book of business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of bond requests
  • Invoice new and renewal bonds and maintain follow-ups for payment
  • Assist in monitoring bond portfolios and preparing status reports

Success Candidates Will Have:

  • 2+ years in Account Management or Insurance and Surety Sales with an understanding of surety bond products and services
  • Active California P&C License
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to multi-task while having strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with a professional customer service focus and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The expected base pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000 plus bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
