Job Details
As a Family Law Attorney, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing a case from start to finish, ensuring all legal issues are addressed and resolved.
2. Conducting thorough legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
3. Providing compassionate and effective client counseling on a wide range of family law issues.
4. Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
5. Making regular court appearances to advocate for clients and present their cases.
6. Guiding clients through complex property division processes in divorce cases.
7. Representing clients in adoption proceedings, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
8. Handling cases involving domestic violence, providing victims with the legal support they need to protect themselves and their families.
9. Assisting with guardianship cases, ensuring the best interests of the child or vulnerable adult are prioritized.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must have:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney.
4. Proven experience in case management, legal writing, legal research, client counseling, negotiation, court appearances, property division, adoption law, domestic violence, and guardianship.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with clients.
6. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes amicably.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
8. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A strong commitment to client service and a passion for helping people navigate complex legal issues.
