Position Summary
The Phlebotomist is an excellent opportunity at on the MultiCare Laboratory Services team, responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages primarily in an acute care, and ambulatory setting. In this role, you will collaborate with the laboratory and patient care teams to provide a high-quality level of phlebotomy services.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.30 - $29.22 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.

Position Summary

Responsibilities
- You will establish positive patient identification under all circumstances
- You will collect and process specimens using approved procedures
- You will perform venipuncture and capillary puncture using appropriate safety equipment and PPE following approved procedures
- You will employ optimum techniques to ensure collection of a high quality specimen the first time
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification (MA-P) or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible
- ASCP or NCA certification preferred
- Certification as MLT or equivalent preferred
- Recent phlebotomy experience preferred
