Mass General Brigham Digital is in the midst of making large investments to modernize our technical stack and build out our future state data ecosystem. Standing up our master data services program is a key component in this body of work and given provider data is critical in many different aspects of data and analytics, it makes sense that this is the initial domain the Master Data Management (MDM) team is focused on with Employee, Researchers, Supplies, Vendors etc. as potential domains to follow. The Senior Analyst, MDM will be a key member on the MDM team and will work to develop and maintain the match strategies using data from various data sources including but not limited to our Credentialing and Human Resource systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. • Work with other scrum team members on ingestion of data into Profisee, a cloud based PAAS application hosted in our Azure Kubernetes environment
  2. • Develop and maintain matching strategies and data quality rules
  3. • Data Stewardship functions and administering the data stewardship model
  4. • Gather business requirements and convert to technical requirements
  5. • Collaborate with MDM Developers and Architects in support of the logical and physical model development
  6. • Where possible, ensure development of attributes and MDM reference data is aligned with healthcare data best practices (FHIR, HL7, DaVinci, etc.)
  7. • Management of MDM reference data and crosswalks in Profisee
  8. • Develops and mentors other staff members; develops advanced expertise in tools and shares best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science preferred
  • Expert in healthcare related business processes related to medical staff offices, provider onboarding, or ambulatory and hospital operations
  • 5 years or more of experience in Master Data Management - Strategy, roadmap, systems analysis, and application design
  • 2 or more years of experience with MDM tools (Profisee Master Data Management, MDStaff or similar MDM platforms), experience in Profisee MDM preferred.
  • Data quality, data governance and metadata management understanding; Experience with Collibra and/or Informatica preferred

Skills, Abilities and Core Competencies

  • Extensive knowledge of the system development life cycle, functions and systems and application program development alternatives.
  • Roadmap and strategy development, business case development expertise
  • Sense of urgency, accountability, and agile development mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment, and management skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, MGB Digital management, technical peers, and MDM team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve problems in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to negotiate work products and deliverables of a project.
  • Requires minimal supervision, delivering high quality work product independently

· No direct reports; may provide guidance to less seasoned and new staff

· Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by effectively using Mass General Brigham resources

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

This position requires occasional local travel to MGB sites, vendors, and/or conferences

Hospital work environment working conditions include possible exposure to diseases or infections and may require safety gear (PPE) such as gloves and mask.

Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
