Our hotel is looking for a hospitality professional with sales experience to help our team increase revenue. You will establish initial contact with all inquiring clients with sales. Qualify lead information in order to deploy to the sales team. This position assists with the creation and distribution of amenities, banquet event order, and resumes. This position will organize and process rooming lists, creates the booking links for groups. Additionally, following up with referrals, any changes to reservations and helping the sales team with administrative tasks and duties. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, listening skills, along with creating memorable customer service experiences. Our preference is the candidate be highly skilled in ONQ and have hotel front office industry experience. The Sales Coordinator provides administrative support greeting visitors, answering the telephone, fax, gathering data and compiling reports, maintaining files, organize weekly information packets for meeting and preparing correspondence. You will be fully trained to help out at the Front desk when it is needed. This is a Full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize work schedules, file important documents, and communicate with stakeholders and hotel departments about sales-related information
- Create a list of business and referral leads through research and networking and make preliminary pitches
- Increase revenues by upselling and providing additional amenities and upgrades to customers to ensure they are entirely satisfied
- Assist clients by acting as a point of contact and communicating with them by phone and email in response to their queries and requests
- Generate sales presentations and a variety of additional materials for prospective customers highlighting event space, dining and catering services, and facility amenities
Qualifications
- Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry
- Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired
- Outstanding organizational skills and time management
