Trademark Associate

The Cleveland office of a national firm is seeking a trademark associate with at least two years of experience to join its sophisticated IP group. As a trademark associate, you will manage complex trademark portfolios and provide comprehensive legal advice on the development and protection of intellectual property rights and brands. This firm is growing throughout the US and it is offering a competitive compensation structure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing and advising on trademark selection, clearance, protection, and enforcement.
• Conduct thorough trademark searches and analysis to support clients in making informed branding decisions.
• Help clients navigate the registration process, including responding to office actions and overcoming challenges.
• Participate in intellectual property disputes, including trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings, as well as UDRP proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective branding strategies.
• Stay updated on trademark law developments and trends to provide clients with informed guidance.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Admission to the Ohio Bar
• At least two years of relevant experience in trademark law at a law firm
